Marissa is a board-certified physician assistant with a passion for surgery and a strong commitment to lifelong learning. At DOCS, she works closely with Dr. Yashar and Dr. Wong, specialists in neurosurgery, as well as Dr. Rao, a vascular specialist.
Marissa earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She went on to complete her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Southern California University of Health Sciences, where she was recognized for academic excellence, leadership, and service to the profession with her induction into the Pi Alpha National Honor Society. She also served as Student Director with the California Academy of Physician Associates (CAPA), where she remains actively involved in leadership initiatives.
With a patient-centered and holistic approach to medicine, Marissa is dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate care that supports both surgical outcomes and overall well-being.
